ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host a virtual “Sports Gambling Addiction Presentation” on Thursday, March 2 at 7:00 PM. Josh Mountz, Training Coordinator/Prevention Specialist with Compass Mark, will be the speaker. One of the most rapidly expanding areas in the gambling world is sports gambling and daily fantasy sports. This presentation will look at the current states of both in Pennsylvania. From laws surrounding sports betting, to the regulation, or lack thereof, of daily fantasy sports, this presentation will look at how the state is being affected. Josh will also address current trends and what is on the horizon for sports wagering. He will conclude by discussing ways to prevent problem gambling and the treatment, prevention, and recovery resources available. This event is free and open to the public and will be held online via Zoom. Registration is required at https://ccls.libcal.com/calendar/Phoenixville/sports-gambling-addiction or by calling 610-933-3013 x132.
