Phoenixville Public Library will host a free panel presentation, “Stay Safe: Spotting and Avoiding Scams”, on Wednesday, May 21 at 2:00 PM. Protect yourself from senior scams. This free seminar will cover: government and IRS impersonation scams, romance and online fraud, utility and home repair scams, and phone and email scams. Learn what to do if you’re targeted, what steps to take, and the agencies that can help. The presentation team is made up of local business professionals who are passionate about educating and protecting the senior community, including representatives from the Chester County Sheriff’s Department and Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office. This event is free and open to the public. The program will also be livestreamed on Zoom for those unable to attend in person.
