Stepping Up to Stop Sexual Assault

Thursday, September 07, 2017 Stepping Up to Stop Sexual Assault

ABOUT THE EVENT

Phoenixville Public Library will host a free program for high school students and their parents, “Stepping Up to Stop Sexual Assault”, on Thursday, September 7 at 7:00 PM. Dermot Anderson, Becky Bowlby, and Janet Pudlinski, three counselors from the Lower Merion School District, will be the presenters. Did you know that 1 in 5 women will be sexually assaulted during college? Sexual assault is at an all-time high on college campuses across the country. In an effort to help students transition from high school to college or the workplace, this program was created to educate students about the facts surrounding sexual assault, how to protect themselves and how to be good bystanders to protect others. Learn more about this epidemic spreading through our colleges and universities. This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required on the Adult Events Calendar at www.phoenixvillelibrary.org or by calling 610-933-3013 x132.
