ABOUT THE EVENT
Spend an evening learning to draw the beauty of an outdoor landscape. Enjoy the glories of nature while learning to draw efficiently outdoors. Students will learn how to choose prime set up locations and improve plein air drawing techniques. Instruction will be given through a combination of demos, lectures and creating your own masterpiece. Students will be taught the importance of value, atmospheric perspective and composition. Also, they will be given valuable color mixing techniques and recipes. This class is geared towards techniques in charcoal/graphite, pastel and watercolor.
The workshop has a welcoming and inclusive culture. It is suitable for all artists – beginners to advanced. Your are encouraged to bring your own materials. If you don’t have your own materials, we are happy to include them for you during the workshop.
**Since this class will take place in a common space-please do not bring oil or acrylic paints**
