ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host a free presentation, “The Downsizing Dilemma: Where Do You Start?”, on Monday, September 8 at 6:30 PM. Paula and Emily Mayewski of Home Stream will be the presenters. Are you starting to think about downsizing, but it makes you cringe? Do you have lots of stuff and are not sure what to do with all of it? Do you have special treasures you want to pass on to specific loved ones, do you struggle with wondering what paperwork needs to be saved and what can be discarded, do you have surplus furniture, do you have one too many junk drawers along with possibly a full basement, garage, attic or shed in the backyard? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you want to think about downsizing sooner rather than later. The best time to downsize is when YOU can oversee the process and make the decisions. You want to be proactive with downsizing, not reactive. Downsizing when you are reactive means you might make decisions you regret or worse, you might not get to make the decisions at all because of an unexpected health emergency.
This program will answer your questions about downsizing and how it is never too early to begin the downsizing journey. Paula and Emily will give you the boost you need to get started, even if you only organize a junk drawer! At the end of the presentation, a door prize will be awarded to one attendee/couple — a gift card for a free one-hour consultation for Home Stream to come to your home and discuss what steps can be taken to organize your home and prepare for downsizing.
