ABOUT THE EVENT
The Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area’s next Quarterly Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, starting at 7:30 pm. It will be at the Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust Conference Center, 564 Nutt Road, Phoenixville.
Our speaker will be Dale Woodland, who is the Director of the Reading Railroad Heritage Museum in Hamburg, PA. His slide show topic will be “The Reading: Then & Now”, which is a look at the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad through the years.
Dale is the author of four books and numerous magazine articles, and is the current editor of two monthly columns in “Railpace Magazine.” His photographs have been published in regional and national railroad publications.
This talk ties in with our new exhibit “From Oats to Octane: Phoenixville on the Move”, which will open on First Friday, June 7th.
The meeting is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided after the program.
