ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host a free presentation, “The Vital Role of Strength Training for Women Over 40: Transform Your Body, Transform Your Life”, on Thursday, February 26, 6:30 PM at the Library. Leda Peterson of Live Well with Leda will be the speaker. This presentation will discuss the importance of skeletal muscle in the body and its impact on metabolism, hormonal balance, and menopause management. Attendees will get a clear picture of what strength training is and how to begin a program with achievable goals. Leda Peterson has a Master’s degree in Public Health and experience in cardiovascular risk reduction programs. She is an ACE Certified Health Coach, and with 13 years as a dedicated CrossFit athlete and coach, She brings a deep understanding of functional fitness, preventative health and individualized wellness strategies. This event is free and open to the public. The program will also be livestreamed on Zoom for those unable to attend in person.
