ABOUT THE EVENT
The Phoenixville Area Senior Center has been active in the Phoenixville Community since 1978. We provide service to more than 1,200 individuals each year through the daily program. 36% of the seniors attending the center live alone. 26% of them live in poverty. The remaining seniors live on modest incomes. They range in age from 60-85 years old.
Why is it important to support us now? There are 500 senior housing units being planned in Phoenixville borough with additional senior housing beginning in some of our local townships. This is happening at the same time the Baby Boomers are reaching the age 55-75. This Senior Center will become the resource where many of them will come for services, and we are preparing to help.
On March 25, 2017 we are sponsoring a Beef and Beer fundraiser from 6-10 pm at the Kimberton Fire Company. The theme is Toe the Line. We will have a DJ spinning Country music and a Country Line Dance instructor showing us the moves. We encourage everyone to pull out their Western wear. We will also offer a silent auction and raffle prizes. The menu is Beef and Beer, and the cost is $35. Please see the flier attached which outlines the benefits and levels of sponsorship. If sponsorship is not possible, please consider a gift card for one of our raffle baskets, a donation of beer, wine or soda, or consider joining us. We would be grateful for anything you can do!
Please do not hesitate contacting Joann if you need any further information.
