ABOUT THE EVENT

Listen to a reading of “The Tree Lady” by H. Joseph Hopkins and illustrated by Jill McElmurry, telling the empowering story of Katherine Olivia Sessions, who brought trees to San Diego, CA. See and interact with live “tree-hugging” creatures, (a gecko, cockroaches (!), and a tortoise), which just like the story’s heroine, love trees so much that they themselves help to plant them around the world!
