ABOUT THE EVENT

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Phoenixville Public Library will host a free Zoom presentation, “Understanding Civil Protection Orders in Pennsylvania”, on Monday, October 7 at 6:45 PM. Brian Doyle, Staff Attorney with Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, will be the presenter. The presentation will discuss the two kinds of protection orders in Pennsylvania — Protection from Abuse and Protection from Sexual Violence and Intimidation — to whom each applies, how they’re obtained, what they accomplish, how they’re enforced, and what a judge needs to hear in order to grant one. This event is free and open to the public and will be held online via Zoom. Registration is required at https://ccls.libcal.com/calendar/Phoenixville/civil-protection-orders or by calling 610-933-3013 x132. Email mpinto@ccls.org for more information.
