ABOUT THE EVENT

(Exton, PA) —Uwchlan Ambulance Corps (UAC) will be commemorating the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 this year with the Thank a Hero; Be a Hero Health and Safety Event. This inaugural event will be held on September 11, 2021 in Exton to raise awareness and support of vital emergency services.

The event will start with a 9/11 memorial service lead by CISM Coordinator for Chester County, Chaplain Jerry Schwartz. Educational demonstrations and information will be available for all ages. UAC will introduce children to the world of Emergency Services: EMS, Fire & Police, through interactive learning stations with a prize for completion.

Honor our local first responders in Chester County at this powerful and uplifting event and learn what you can do to keep your family healthy and safe. Organizers hope to grow event participation this year and are currently seeking sponsors, volunteers and exhibitors. Uwchlan Ambulance Corps Uwchlan Ambulance Corps (UAC) was founded in 1974 by volunteers as a nonprofit corporation. UAC’s service area covers eight townships providing lifesaving emergency care to over 68,000 residents with five ambulances, three responder units and highly trained Paramedics and EMTs who respond to nearly 4,000 emergency calls 24 hours a day. As part of a Statewide EMS Strike Team, we have responded to disasters in Louisiana, New Jersey, and several counties in Pennsylvania.

UAC is a leading training institute in our region and is an approved American Red Cross Training Site, ASHI Training Site, Pennsylvania Department of Health Continuing Education and BLS Certification Institute. Active in the community, UAC offers many educational opportunities, including programs for youth age 14- 18, many of which go on to pursue careers in the healthcare field. We welcome the opportunity to assist community organizations such as scouts and schools and teach all ages First Aid and CPR.
