ABOUT THE EVENT

Phoenixville Public Library will host a free virtual presentation, “Why Do You Need Resilience Now?”, on Monday, September 20 at 7:00 PM. Nancy Miller of Navigate Life Coaching will be the speaker. Resilience is a skill which leads to more success in life. Resilience helps us adapt well in the face of adversity or significant stress. Most of us need more resilience as we’ve experienced a global pandemic and other personal, national, and international challenges. In this presentation, we’ll take a closer look at the definition of resilience and explore the benefits of it. We’ll look at ways to develop it. Simple strategies for building resilience will be introduced, including self-care, mindfulness practices, and the role of hope.

Nancy L. Miller has been a helping professional most of her life. As a registered nurse, she served people in hospitals, home health and high school settings. She currently serves others through life coaching, grief recovery, and speaking. She’s a credentialed coach through the International Coach Federation and a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist through the Grief Recovery Institute. Her desire to help others continue moving forward despite unplanned life events was born out of her own experiences and led her to establish Navigate Life Coaching, LLC. She is passionate about helping others design self-care practices, so they experience more well-being and less stress. You’ll find her biking, hiking, reading, or searching for healthfully delicious recipes as part of her own self-care practices but you’ll never find her drinking coffee. You can connect with Nancy on Facebook @NavigateLifeCoaching or on her website at www.nancymillercoaching.com.
