ABOUT THE EVENT
Phoenixville Public Library will host a writing workshop with filmmaker Pearl Gluck on Friday, February 20 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the Library. Join Pearl for a powerful workshop inspired by her short film, Write Me (2019), which follows an older woman as she joins other survivors in reclaiming the histories tattooed on their bodies. This workshop invites participants to reflect on how writing can serve as a tool for healing, resistance, and the preservation of personal histories. Through guided exercises and open discussion, attendees will explore the intersection of art, memory, and justice, using language to reclaim narratives and foster resilience. Whether you’re a writer, survivor, advocate, or simply someone interested in the transformative power of storytelling, this event offers a space for meaningful connection and creative expression. This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited. Registration is required at https://ccls.libcal.com/calendar/Phoenixville/storytelling-workshop or by calling 610-933-3013 x132. Email mpinto@ccls.org for more information. Phoenixville Public Library is located at 183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
