ABOUT THE EVENT
WWII Weekend is a 2 day event which displays a variety of allied and axis encampments among the beautiful Medal of Honor Grove along with military displays and vehicles. There is 2 battle reenactments on Saturday, May 5 and 1 battle reenactment on Sunday, May 6. In the Martha Washington Building we display memorabilia from WWII Veterans, guest speakers including a Holocaust Survivor, 1940’s fashion show, entertainment show called Command Performance U.S.A. music from the 40’s.
We also have 1940’s dance on Saturday, May 5 from 7 pm to 10 pm open to the public featuring the West Chester Swing Kings band.. Sunday, May 6, replica of Saturday except for a dance but we have a Honor Guard Ceremony to present a flag to a family who has not received one for there love one who was in the military.
