The Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Orion Communities as its 2016 recipient of proceeds from the annual Charity Gala.
Each year, the Chamber of Commerce honors one non-profit organization for the impact it makes on the Phoenixville community. This year, the Chamber will honor Orion, a community-based non-profit providing outreach and support to residents experiencing poverty, illness, or disability.
Since 1978, Orion has prided itself on respectfully serving the community, including the unemployed or under-employed, homeless, hungry, disabled, or ill.
“Orion makes a special effort to reach out to those who fall between the cracks. Our goal is to make the seemingly impossible, possible.”
The Chamber Gala will take place on November 19, 2016, at the Phoenixville Country Club. The evening will include stylish hors d’oeuvres, a savory plated dinner and tasty dessert. There will multiple tables of auction items, a live band, and an amazing opportunity to both meet new people and to enjoy the company of current connections.
Last year’s monetary recipient for the evening was The House: Phoenixville Women’s Outreach, a women’s shelter. The Chamber was able to make a $6,500.00 donation to The House based upon the proceeds from the event.
