We are very excited to announce that Tuesday, May 31st, we are officially launching our CERAH program for residents of Phoenixville Borough, and East Pikeland, Schuylkill, and Upper Providence townships who are in need.
CERAH, The Center for Emergency Resources at Ann’s Heart, is located in the Code Blue Center on the lower level of Sacred Heart Church at 146 Church Street. ADA accessibility and Emergency Response access is from the parking lot of 35 Hall Street.
CERAH will provide the following FREE services:
• Showers and Laundry, serving area individuals experiencing homelessness or who are on the verge of homelessness
– Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM*
• Code Red Daytime Cooling Center; for days hotter than 95 degrees on the heat index
– Individuals will be able to come in, cool off, and have access to cold water, snacks, and simple food items like soup, mac n’ cheese, etc. Code Red days will be announced via email and social media.
• Drop-In Mental Health Counseling (Provided by Project Healing Hive), available every Thursday from 10 AM to 4PM beginning in June.
• Supportive Services & Housing Case Management
– Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 AM to 4 PM – Guests from our service area who are homeless or on the verge of homelessness in need of assistance with applying for housing services may drop in any time between 10 AM and 4 PM to complete an initial intake and be connected to resources as needed, and as available.
At this time, there is no formal intake process for Code Red or Showers/Laundry however, guests must provide their name for emergency purposes. While not mandatory, we will also be asking guests for cell phone numbers or email addresses allowing us to notify them when services are available through CERAH and our nonprofit partners. Please note, this is subject to change at any time.
*We are holding the Shower & Laundry program from 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with the knowledge that these hours may change based on need. We will keep you updated on any changes made.

We are currently working with our other nonprofit partners to solidify additional programs such as a community refrigerator and food-bag pickup, clinical mental health services, and other supports. We are grateful to our many community partners for their support and for joining us in this effort to continue providing services throughout the year, and for their tireless efforts to make Phoenixville a welcoming, accessible community for everyone.
