Dear Chamber and Community Members:
Today’s message is regarding our approach to resources and activities.
The preparations and effects surrounding COVID-19 have begun.
Regarding events:
The Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner, scheduled for March 25th at RiverCrest, has been rescheduled for May 20th. If you have purchased a ticket, it will be forwarded to the new date. If you have any questions regarding your attendance, please email info@phoenixvillechamber.org . We will be working with everyone on changes to this event, and appreciate everyone’s understanding.
Small networking events and committee meetings, we plan to assess these dates on a case by case basis, but are keeping them on our schedule at this time.
Golf Classic – the date of April 28th at RiverCrest will remain on our schedule at this time.
Front Office Closure: The Chamber offices will be closed to the public until further notice.
The health of our community is our top priority, so we’re taking this time to do a deep clean of our office, and to reevaluate our operations to insure we’re doing what’s best for the public. If you’ve ever visited us here at the office, you know how close these quarters are, and that there’s not a lot of room to keep that “social distance.”
Because we are committed to doing everything we can to prevent any spread, our offices will remain closed to the public until the COVID-19 situation is reassessed by officials.
If you need to meet with Chamber staff in-person, email us at info@phoenixvillechamber.org to make arrangements.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding.
Our community will be experiencing an increase of necessary supports to our friends and neighbors. Non profits have been and will continue to be approached for services, and the list for those in need will grow to include those in our community who maybe have not needed services before.
Businesses are experiencing a decrease of walk in traffic and are working to handle staffing and revenue challenges and changes.
As we have now witnessed in Montgomery County, all non-essential operations have been asked to close. This has an impact on services and business, and how it all is conducted. The first confirmed case in Chester County has also been announced, and schools have been closed beginning Monday for 10 days. President Trump has also just declared a national emergency.
We have set up this page on our website which you can access at anytime, where we will share updates and links to resources for businesses as they come available, including state resources, information on the governmental payroll tax relief. We will also be working to post updates via social media.
We ask that if you have questions, have any plans for your business that you would like us to know about, or if you need assistance with your messaging, to please email info@phoenixvillechamber.org
The Chamber also plans to issue messaging to the public surrounding the topic of supporting our local businesses during this time, in a way that they can. We are very open to hearing from you on your ideas or ways that your business or organization is working to connect to customers and clients. Some current examples are: online ordering, providing a delivery service, and purchasing gift cards now to be used at a later time.
While this territory and the after effects are unknown, we will continue to work as your community partner.
Wishing you health,
The Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce
