Chester County, PA- (September 25, 2015): The Chester County Community Foundation will host its annual Legacy Awards Celebration & Annual Meeting on November 2, 2015. Each year the Community Foundation looks for citizens and organizations who have made a notable effort to improve the Chester County Community. The Chester County Community Foundation will honor notable community members and highlight funds that have given back to the community to make a valuable difference for everyone in Chester County.
Alice & Rod Moorhead will be the recipients of the 16th annual Jordan Award, whichhonors a longstanding commitment to charitable leadership that ultimately makes a real difference in improving the quality of life in Chester County.
Kurt Kunsch of Phoenixville will be the recipient of the annual Door Opener Award; which is given to a professional advisor who takes the initiative to bring legacy philanthropy options to the attention of their clients for their consideration.
The Whitford Charitable Fund will be recognized for its immense achievements in giving back to the community through popular club fundraisers such as “Give Something Back Day” a day long golf tournament and it’s Whitford Classic which is a weekend full of signature events that raises money for different nonprofits each year. This fund has been wildly successful in making a difference in the community.
The Neil Joines Fund will also be highlighted at this year’s Legacy Awards Celebration & Annual Meeting. This fundwas established in memorial of Neil Clarence Joines, sales executive & active community leader of Kennett Square. This memorial fund will make sure that Mr. Joines’ dream of making sure the Kennett Square community has access to different cultural opportunities, becomes a reality.
The Chester County Community Foundation encourages the public to attend its annual meeting and awards ceremony on Monday, November 2, 2015. The ceremony will be held at Madeleine Wing Alder Theatre on High Street & Rosedale Avenue in West Chester. This event is free and will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a reception immediately following.
