
Chester County OIC President & CEO Announcement
The Board of Directors of the Chester County Opportunities Industrialization Center (CCOIC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Javonna Wylie as the new President & CEO of CCOIC and look forward to her leadership in shaping the future of the organization. Javonna’s experience and dedication in working with non-profit organizations includes her roles with CCOIC over the years and being appointed as the CCOIC Director of Workforce Development in 2020. In that position she raised money and managed all the comprehensive employment and vocational counseling programs to help unemployed and underemployed adults of Chester County to get living wage jobs. In February, 2024 she was appointed as the CCOIC Interim President & CEO upon the departure of the Joyce Chester, long-time President & CEO for over
20 years.
Javonna has been widely recognized as a community leader with her many affiliations and recognitions. To name a few: “Best 40 Under 40” VISTA Millennial Superstar Award in 2022
and selected to serve on the 2024 Selection Committee, Coatesville NAACP member, Fund for Women and Girls – Girls Advisory Board Facilitator and volunteer, Vice President Elect, Chester County Human Resource Association, and Board Member for Community Service Block Grants, Chester County Department of Community Development.
After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (with a double minor in Communications/Journalism and Women & Gender Studies) from Shippensburg University Javonna furthered her education through the Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. Over the years she earned Graduate Certificates from the Nonprofit Executive
Leadership Institute in two programs: “Ascending Leader” and “Trauma-Informed Care.”
