Kennett Square, Phoenixville, Wayne, Paoli/Berwyn, and West Chester are among the Main Line’s 11 hottest towns, writes Tara Behan for Main Line Today.
In these areas, inventory is moving quickly, meaning buyers have to be patient and wait for homes to become available.
Kennett Square, the Mushroom Capital of the World, attracts people with its quaint downtown, high-end boutiques and many dining options.
“Many first-time buyers want to be in Kennett Square,” said realtor Elin Green.
Phoenixville is also thriving, with its restaurants, shops, and microbreweries attracting people of all ages. Its affordability is also a big plus, with single-family homes in the mid-$300,000s.
Wayne radiates authentic family-friendly charm that makes residents feel a special connection to the town. West Chester is also popular with easy access to bars, shops, and restaurants, but it’s coming at a cost.
“Younger buyers are being priced out,” said realtor Debra Ward Sparre.
Meanwhile, Paoli and Berwyn are at the center of the expected revitalization of the western end of the Main Line.
“It’s an urban movement in the suburbs,” said realtor Dana Zdancewicz.
