The Clinic Announces Key Leadership Changes and Re-designation of Board Members

Phoenixville- President of the Board of Directors, James Kovaleski, Esq. announced key organizational changes at the executive level at The Clinic. These changes, which position The Clinic for continued growth and expansion of our operating model, include the promotions of:

Thomas Burd, M.S.A., N.H.A., who will expand his current role as executive director and also becomes the President and CEO. In this newly created role, Burd will continue to report to the Board of Directors, and will lead the company’s business model and provide oversight to the medical, communications and development department and business development. Burd will also continue his leadership of major gifts and work with the board on exploring a capital campaign for a new facility. Burd has been with The Clinic since 2011 and has worked to expand services and programs which directly impact our patients and the community.

George Spyropoulos, DO, who will expand his role as medical director and also becomes the Vice President, Medical Affairs & CMO, reporting to Thomas Burd, President and CEO. In this role, Dr. Spyropoulos will have responsibility for all medical staff and services and he will oversee academic clinical services and quality assurance for the medical practice. Dr. Spyropoulous served in the role as medical director since August 2015. During his time at The Clinic, Dr. Spyropoulos has established valuable partnerships with local medical schools and universities and improved the quality of services and care for our patients.

At the board level, James Kovaleski, Esq. has been re-designated Chairman of the Board and John Enyart, MBA was re-designated Vice Chairman of the Board.

About The Clinic

The Clinic was established in 2002 to create a medical center, staffed by volunteer clinicians, to help people who did not have adequate access to health care services due to the lack of medical insurance.  The Clinic provides primary care and specialty medical services through in-house staff, volunteer physicians and other clinicians.  Our medical services include: Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Urology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Allergy, and Dermatology.  Other clinical services include, Psychological services, Holistic Health counseling, Acupuncture and Optometry. The Clinic offers an in-house laboratory, Pharmacy Assistance Program, and diagnostic tests, procedures, and consults provided by Paoli Hospital under the Charity Care Program.
