New Alliance Brings Arts and Culture to the Forefront in Community
(WEST CHESTER, PA – January 28, 2020) – The Chester County Community foundation is proud to introduce the Cultural Alliance of Chester County (CACC). CACC will work to increase awareness and promote the creative sector as an integral part of economic and social development in the local area.
According to Stephenie Stevens, Community Engagement Officer at the Chester County Community Foundation, “the alliance is here to elevate the profile of Chester County’s arts and culture sector by strengthening the connections local organizations have to each other. We will work with the industry and the larger community to build engagement, audiences, and support”.
The fund aims to work with arts and culture groups to engage and attract audience members and supporters. Another strategic goal is to increase awareness and support of arts and culture groups by bringing them to the forefront of economic and social development. Networking is a key part of the initiative with opportunities for arts and culture groups, community members, and for-profit businesses to connect. These connections are vital in building a community centered on supporting arts and culture.
The Cultural Alliance just launched their new website showcasing more information on their background and goals. This webpage also serves as a resource for arts and culture patrons, providers, and supporters. It fosters an events section in partnership with Phillyfunguide to find local arts and culture events throughout the County. The website can be found here: www.culturechesco.org/.
Users can add their own arts at culture events to the Phillyfunguide for free by visiting www.phillyfunguide.com. Click on submit an event and fill out the event details, venue information, and organization details. News organizations can visit www.culturechesco.org/ for up-to-date events and happenings in Chester County.
