Delaware County Community College Offers FREE Career Development Program

Register now for Delaware County Community College’s FREE New Choices career development and job re-entry program.

New Choices is being offered from Tuesday, Jan. 17 through Thursday, Feb. 23 on the college’s Marple Campus, located at 901 South Media Line Road in Media. Classes meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM-3 PM.

The New Choices program equips participants with skills and knowledge they can use in their quest for career advancement. The program is free and provides classes and workshops on career planning, networking, résumé writing, interviewing techniques, and computer skills.

Participants receive individual and group support, as well as employer contacts.

Successful business owner Linda Fox recently presented a workshop on “Is a Career as an Entrepreneur for Me?” Fox, an alumna of the New Choices program and the college, has operated Linda Lane Wall Coverings in Media for more than 30 years, and frequently offers guidance to New Choices participants interested in starting their own business.
