From the Good Samaritan Shelter:
Loan Program Helps Resident Purchase A Car
Brian needed a car to get a job, but didn’t have the money to purchase one.
Brian knew that in order to reach his goal of becoming self-sufficient and independent he would need a car so he can find work and save money. With little money of his own he likely would have sputtered along for months while trying to find a job he could walk to. With the help of the shelter’s new loan program, Brian was able to purchase a reliable car and has since found employment and is saving money towards his own place. The loan program is designed to give small, interest-free loans to shelter residents to help them achieve a goal, such as buying a car. The loans are paid back over 12 months. Brian has already made his first payment!
We are excited about giving out more loans to help people attain success and independence!
