Grandparents Day September 12th – Making memories – and sharing them
Grandparents cherish the time that they spend with their grandkids, especially when it’s something fun and different. Even better than making those memories is being able to share them later, so we are giving everyone a free portrait picture to take home! Taking a ride on the Colebrookdale Railroad is one of the most fun things you can do with your grandkids. This is a real train, not a park ride or imitation, and we have lots of fun things for you to do on your train ride including sing-alongs, arts and crafts, fun foods and drinks. Experience our reimagined Pullman palace cars and ride through history. Every car is different and each one offers something different to do! At the other end of the line enjoy a ride on an authentic and historic carousel (some people call them merry-go-rounds), included in the ticket price.
The best part is that our photographer will take a portrait quality photograph of you and your grandkids with a variety of different backgrounds. Best of all, a photo is included with every ticket, so the grandkids can each have one and get to choose their own backgrounds as well. Don’t worry, additional prints are available at a modest cost so their parents can get one too. Your prints will be available when you arrive back at the station!
Reserve now, tickets are limited for this special train ride on the Colebrookdale Railroad!
Each car features a different onboard experience. Join the other children and grandparents for a sing-along led by our friendly staff, then move to the next car and enjoy some simple but fun art projects. Yet another car features commentary about the train and the beautiful Secret Valley scenery. Let’s not forget the kid friendly food and beverages that will be available for purchase.
All tickets are general admission, so enjoy wandering through the entire train with your family! Make Grandparents Day in 2021 truly memorable by taking a train ride and getting portraits to share!
