The Clinic is a non-profit, free clinic providing comprehensive medical care, including specialty care, lab service
and pharmacy services for the uninsured and underserved, population of Chester County and the surrounding
areas. The Clinic is in its 15th year of operation, having served over 122,000 patients since opening in 2002.
Located in the former rectory of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, in the heart of downtown Phoenixville, physicians
and staff at The Clinic work each day to provide medical care to patients in an ever-changing healthcare
environment.
Position Overview
The Development Manager, working in partnership with the Executive Director, is directly responsible for
managing:
– Annual giving and gift acknowledgement programs.
– Communications program, including content and creative for social media.
– Provides writing support for the Executive Director for the major gifts program, as needed.
– Supervises and trains volunteers who assist with the office functions of the development program.
– Works independently to fulfill the responsibilities, he/she must also work collaboratively, in a
teamwork spirit, with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and the Clinic staff and volunteer
teams.
These duties are to be performed to ensure that the execution of The Clinic’s mission to “provide quality health
care to the uninsured in an atmosphere which fosters dignity and respect for our patients. It is our privilege to
do so,” remains at the forefront.
Responsibilities
1. Work with Board’s Development Committee to develop strategies to meet yearly fundraising
goals. Assist the Development Committee with regular prospect research.
2. Attend all Board and Development Committee meetings
3. Stay current and engaged in best practices for programs; provide the Executive Director and
Development Committee with new strategies or professional information of interest and value;
4. Develop fundraising training for board and other volunteers as needed.
Qualifications
– Commitment to and passion for the mission of The Clinic
– Bachelor Degree from college or university
– Knowledge of the development field in non-profit organizations
– Minimum of 3 years of professional fundraising or related field experience
– Strong MS Office skills including experience with database systems.
– Excellent written and oral communications skills (writing sample required)
– Flexibility to attend meetings and/or events in the evening or morning
– Comfortable with public speaking and/or group presentations
– Must be able to drive and have personal automobile and valid insurance
Work Environment Our office is located on the third floor of the building, located in Phoenixville, PA. Office
is shared among employees and volunteers.

Compensation
Applicant should submit salary expectations with resume. The Clinic provides a generous benefits package
