Phoenixville, PA – February 25, 2015 – Kimberton Waldorf School is pleased to present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the fun-filled musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel’s favorite son. The show opens Thursday, March 5 at 7:00 pm, with additional performances scheduled for Friday, March 6 at 7:30 pm, and Saturday, March 7 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm. The production is being staged at Kimberton Waldorf School, 410 West Seven Stars Road, Phoenixville, PA.
One of the most enduring shows of all time, the musical is a story of Joseph, his coat of many colors, and the ever changing relationship he has with his father and brothers. It is a story of love, jealousy, hate, betrayal, forgiveness, and ultimately reconciliation. Set to an engaging variety of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to and rock ‘n’ roll, this magical musical is full of songs by the talented team of Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice, including “Those Canaan Days,” “Any Dream Will Do,” and “Close Every Door.”

“I am thrilled to be back for my eighth musical production at Kimberton Waldorf School. This musical has always been a favorite of mine and one that I have always wanted to direct.” explained James Corkum ‘04, Musical Director. “Vocally, it is challenging. The students have dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and energy to bringing the characters to life. It is a lively, colorful, and highly entertaining production that shouldn’t be missed.”

More than fifty Kimberton Waldorf School students are involved in the production of the musical, including high school seniors Kyle Kuzman, Nick Hunter, Nick Biffis, Juliana Davis, Helena Hewitt, Benjamin Janisch, Mariah Lehmkuhl, Kathryn Miles, Benjamin Otto-Horan, and Benedict Roemer. A supportive group of faculty, staff, alumni, and parents have done a wonderful job with sets, costumes, props, and various other aspects of the show.
