Local food takes center stage at 1st annual Good Food Fest

October 28, 2019

Come for the cause, stay for the marketplace, culinary demonstrations, pouring
room, food trucks, and live music.

The first Annual Good Food Fest has been announced for Sunday, November 3rd, from 11 am –
4 pm at the Kimberton Fairgrounds (762 Pike Springs Rd, Phoenixville, PA 19460).
This one-day event will celebrate, educate, and promote regional agriculture and the vibrant
local community of growers, producers, and makers. This full day of activities will include an
epic farmers market, culinary demonstrations, kids activities, the ‘Pouring Room’ for local
libation enthusiasts, food trucks, live music and more.

Good Food Fest (GFF to those in the know) is hosted by Growing Roots Partners and made
possible by our premier sponsor Kimberton Whole Foods. “We are passionate about local food
and supporting our growers and makers. We came up with the idea for Good Food Fest as a
way to celebrate, support, and build awareness around the importance of local agriculture” says
Growing Roots Partners Founder Lisa ONeill.

Kimberton Whole Foods, an organic and local food-oriented grocer in the area, is the presenting
sponsor of Good Food Fest. “We’re proud to be the premier sponsor of the Good Food Fest,
which aligns with our mission to support our neighbors and local economy. We currently work
with over 200 producers in the Greater Philadelphia Area. This event will serve as an
opportunity to educate the community on the wide range of products that are available in our
region. This will also be a great opportunity for children and young families to learn about where
their food comes from,” says Terry Brett, Founder and CEO of Kimberton Whole Foods.
This event has something for everyone from alpacas to kombucha and everything in between.

See you at the fest!
