PHOENIXVILLE, PA (September 22, 2028): Orion Communities, Inc., a nonprofit organization in Phoenixville, PA serving the unmet needs of our most vulnerable neighbors, is very pleased to announce the appointment of Christine A. Brown as its new Executive Director. Christine is a community leader with extensive experience in organizational leadership, fundraising, education, program development, and community engagement.
A longtime member of the Phoenixville community, Christine brings a unique combination of nonprofit expertise, educational leadership, and a deep commitment to building meaningful connections that strengthen individuals and communities. She has been a volunteer with Orion Communities for the past six years, giving her a longstanding connection to the organization and its mission. We look forward to Christine guiding Orion and its staff in this exciting new chapter as we continue our mission of assisting households we serve in achieving stability, self-reliance, and the ability to adequately provide for basic needs and essentials.

Her dedication to Orion’s mission will ensure that Orion, its programs and community will prosper as a result of her steady hand and longstanding experience. Prior to joining Orion, Christine served as Program Director for Citizen Advocacy of Chester County. She has held leadership roles with Soroptimist International of Phoenixville and the North Atlantic Region of Soroptimist International, Communities That Care, Changemaker, the Phoenixville Rotary, and other community organizations. She has served as a principal and assistant principal in Pennsylvania schools, including Renaissance Academy Charter School in Phoenixville, Cocalico School District, and the School District of Lancaster. Christine holds a Master of Education in
Educational Leadership from Wilmington University and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from West Chester University.
