PACP Announces 2025 Chamber of the Year Award Recipients

The Pennsylvania Association of Chamber Professionals (PACP) recognized their 2025 Chambers of the Year during their Chamber Professionals & Leadership Conference held this week at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, PA.

In addition to recognizing organization excellence, the PACP Chamber of the Year Award focuses on acknowledging one or more significant achievements / accomplishments that a chamber has initiated, stimulated, and/or led in its respective service area at some point during the past 18 months. Organizational excellence is evaluated in the areas of membership, programs, planning, and finance.

The Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce was honored as the recipient of the prestigious award in the category of chambers with under 700 members.

This past year has been one of the most transformative in the history of the Phoenixville Regional Chamber. In 2024, they purchased a new Chamber headquarters, five times the size of our former space, and sold our previous property within a month. Renovations began quickly, and in May of 2025, they proudly held our Grand Opening. The entire project was funded through a generous grant, the proceeds from the property sale, and over $90,000 in multi-year commitments from their members. They completed this major milestone with no debt to the Chamber. They’ve also secured a long-term tenant for part of the building which brings in sustainable revenue that supports their operations and fuels initiatives outside of dues revenue.

The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce was honored as the recipient of the prestigious award in the category of chambers with over 700 members.

The Schuylkill Chamber has continued to work tirelessly on a mammoth advocacy effort that impacts employers, working parents, childcare providers, and early childhood teachers across Pennsylvania – the childcare workforce crisis. The Chamber has been a leading voice in statewide advocacy, coalition building, and direct civic engagement most notably around childcare teachers leaving the industry or not considering the industry due to traditional low wages and lack of benefits. As of August 1, 2025, the Chamber is proud to report that 72 chambers and economic development organizations have signed on to a coalition letter in support of early childhood teacher recruitment and retention.

Congratulations to Jessica Capistrant and her team with the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Robert Carl, Jr. and his team with the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce!
