Phoenixville is once again bustling, thanks to its growing number of activities, many of which are unique to the town, writes Emily Hart for County Lines Magazine.
The Colonial Theatre has reopened, larger and grander than ever, with a new Garden Suite with wet bar, projector, and screen added to the upper level. Keeping with tradition, though, the main theater will still host the popular Blobfest and have screenings of old movies.
Phoenixville has also become home to a growing number of breweries, wineries, and distilleries, along with some unique tasting rooms. One of which is Culture Factory, opened by Chef Olga Sorzano four months ago. It offers Saturday tastings, pairings, and food and wine.
Another distinctive place is Cameron Peters Floral Design. Here, people can bring their own empty bottle or buy a vase, before choosing from the sea of flowers to create their own arrangements and bouquets.
“People get used to clicking a button to shop,” said owner Cameron Peters. “By doing that, they miss what’s freshest, in season, or their favorite colors.”
