Phoenixville Hospital Thrift Shop Donates $57,200 to Local Non- Profits

(PHOENIXVILLE, PA – July 2022) The all-volunteer staffed Phoenixville Hospital
Thrift Shop donated $57,200 to local non-profit organizations this year. Since
opening in 1975, the shop has donated over $1 million in its 47-year history of
giving back to the community.

A group of Thrift Shop volunteers, community members, and Phoenixville
Hospital Leaders attended the donation ceremony, including Thrift Shop
President, Elaine Locascio, who will step down on July 30 th after four years in this
role. Maggie Silva, a dedicated volunteer of ten years (six as treasurer) becomes
President on August 1st. Elaine presented representatives from each recipient
organization with their donation checks. Following is a list of the 2022 recipients:

The Thrift Shop of Phoenixville is located at 238 Church Street in Phoenixville.
The shop sells clothing, jewelry, accessories, toys, housewares, and small
furniture. The Thrift Shop is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 1 p.m.
– 4 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Donations are accepted during operating hours.
