Like many of you, every year I look forward to summer! It’s a time for gathering with family and friends, cookouts, ice cream, and exploring our beautiful corner of Pennsylvania! For me, I also enjoy summer because it gives me more time to be home in our community and hear from you. As summer winds down and kids head back to school, I’m announcing two town halls on topics I hear about frequently: (1) our economic recovery and (2) the importance of civics and how our government works.
State of the Economy Telephone Town Hall with Dr. Mark Zandi
On Wednesday, September 6 at 11 a.m., I will be hosting a telephone town hall to discuss the state of our economy! I’ll also be joined by Dr. Mark Zandi, one of our nation’s top economic experts and the chief economist for Moody’s Analytics in West Chester. I’m grateful that Dr. Zandi will be able to join us to provide the latest data on our nation’s financial state and where we might be headed. Join in the discussion no matter where you are in our district by dialing (855) 731-4616 at 11 a.m. on September 6. If you are planning to dial in, please let us know here or below with our one-click survey.
Civics Town Hall at Chester County Intermediate Unit
On Thursday, September 7 at 6 p.m., I’m excited to be returning to the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) where I’ll be hosting a town hall about civics. This event will mark my 78th town hall since joining Congress, and I’m grateful to be joined by several special guest speakers for the event, including education specialists from the U.S. Capitol Historical Society.
Laura Hall from the Bipartisan Policy Center will be joining as well. This event is in person and open to the public! If you plan on joining me on September 7, doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The address for the Chester County Intermediate Unit is 455 Boot Road, Downingtown, PA. Please let us know that you plan on attending here or below with our one-click survey.
Serving as our community in Congress is the honor of my lifetime, and I hope to hear from you about any issue that concerns you. As always, please contact my office if you need assistance. Be well and see you soon! |
