Steel City Coffeehouse and Brewery Gets A Menu Makeover!

Steel City Coffeehouse and Brewery Gets A Menu Makeover!

July 31, 2019

With collaborative creative efforts from the kitchen team and the inspiration of influential chefs’ recipes from around the region, the new menu will definitely satisfy your appetite.

July 30, 2019 – Phoenixville, PA – While continuing to offer their unique eats, like the popular poached egg, asparagus and potato bowl, and the pan fried PB&J, Steel City has added a homemade Mexican street corn salad, topped with fresh cilantro, queso fresco, and served with gluten free tortilla chips. A locally sourced Kielbasa Canapé from Hippey’s Meats in Denver, PA and Ham and Cheese Tea Sandwiches are just a few more of the new items to share or pair with their continually changing brews by Head Brewer Jeremy Burke. Check out the new menu HERE.

Owner Laura Vernola says: “We realize that we needed to encourage our team to bring creative dishes to the table for us to taste, in order to keep them engaged and involved in our growth. Dishes were selected on taste, presentation, production cost, prep time and the ability to source locally. We are very happy with the outcome!”

Included on the new menu are gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options, and most items are available to be made for keto or paleo lifestyles. The special board outside the kitchen will now feature our team’s creative seasonal weekly specials. The description will include the team member’s name, as well as the inspiration for the dish. Keep an eye out for this summer’s featured Gazpacho, inspired by author Susan Hess and her new cookbook, The Herbal Medicine Cookbook

About Steel City Coffeehouse:

Steel City Coffeehouse opened in 1997 and is Phoenixville’s oldest coffeehouse and only listening room & live music venue. Since its inception, Steel City has gone through many changes (and owners), but in 2016, it experienced a rebirth and has maintained its status as the artistic hub within the community under the ownership of Laura Vernola and Ed Simpson. In early 2019, Steel City Coffeehouse became Steel City Coffeehouse and Brewery. Head Brewer, Jeremy Burke (formerly of Tuned Up Brewing) has been focused on creating our signature Steel Mill Stout, as well as two other seasonal brews. Steel City sources locally and supports fellow small businesses. Check out the full menu offerings HERE, or call to inquire about our daily specials, soups, and ice cream flavors.

Steel City Coffeehouse is open 7 days a week and has complimentary wifi.
