Calls the gifts “Banksgiving” in Recognition of National Gratitude Month
Wyomissing, PA – To celebrate November’s designation as National Gratitude Month, Tompkins VIST Bank is donating $15,000 to several food pantries in its southeastern Pennsylvania marketplace, calling the initiative “Banksgiving.”
“As a community bank, we’re close to our customers, so we’ve seen first-hand the pandemic’s impact on individuals and businesses,” says Scott Gruber, president and CEO. He added that with many people without basic necessities like food and shelter, Thanksgiving is expected to be especially difficult this year. “In honor of our customers, we wanted to support area food banks, which have become a lifeline during this difficult time,” he said. The $15,000 will be spread among several organizations, he added.
