WYOMISSING, PA – Tompkins VIST Bank today announced that agri-business specialist and farmer Travis A. Werley has joined the company as its first agricultural lender. As Vice President, Agricultural Banking Officer, he will develop relationships with production farms and agri-businesses throughout Tompkins VIST Bank’s marketplace.
Tompkins VIST Bank serves southeastern Pennsyvlania counties where agricultural is a dominant economic force. While the bank already serves members of the farming community, it saw an opportunity to better support their unique banking needs. “Our commercial team, led by Travis as an experienced farmer and agri-business lender, looks forward to creating personalized services and packages tailored to their requirements,” said Gary Moyer, EVP and chief lending officer.
Werley has more than 20 years of commercial banking experience. He previously served as an agri-business lender with Fulton Bank. He has a B.S. in Agricultural Business with a minor in Large Animal Science from Delaware Valley College and an M.B.A. from Lebanon Valley College.
An experienced farmer, he and his family own and operate a 350-acre crop operation in Berks County.
He also is active in the Berks Agricultural Resource Network and is an adult leader in the Berks County 4-H Dairy Beef Club.
