Wyomissing, PA, – One minute can make all the difference to three area non-profits, thanks to Tompkins VIST Bank’s Community Minute Challenge.
Through the social media contest, which will have three rounds, members of the public are invited to choose their favorite one-minute video created by a group of eastern Pennsylvania non-profit organizations. The videos will be posted on Tompkins VIST Bank’s Facebook page. The organization that earns the most votes will win $2,000. By the end of the third found, the three winners will have won a collective $6,000.
For each round of the Community Minute Challenge, each non-profit will vie for votes by explaining in their videos how they benefit the community and what they will do with the funds. “We believe this is an excellent way for the selected organizations to share their mission and to gain funds to further support their clients,” said Ann Fioravanti, Marketing Officer, Tompkins VIST Bank.
Voting for the challenge’s first round will begin May 31 and run through June 20. Competing non-profits in this phase include Habitat for Humanity of Berks County (Reading, PA); HelpHOPELive (Radnor, PA); PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) (Philadelphia, PA); Reading Recreation Commission (Reading, PA); and Walk in Art Center (Schuylkill Haven, PA). During the voting period, participants are invited to ‘like’ Tompkins VIST Bank’s Facebook page, (www.facebook.com/TompkinsVISTBank), click on the Community Minute Challenge app and elect their non-profit of choice. People can vote once every day for each round.
Rounds two and three are planned for August and October 2016. Details on those phases, including the participating non-profits, will be posted on Tompkins VIST Bank’s Facebook page.
