ABOUT THE EVENT

Join us for the 24th Annual French Creek Iron Tour on June 14, 2026

Devault, Pa., April 23, 2026 – The French Creek Iron Tour is scheduled to return for its 24th year on Sunday, June 14. Cyclists will ride through the scenic countryside their participation is helping to protect and restore. All proceeds support the critical conservation work of French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust.

With 7 road routes and 2 gravel routes, the Iron Tour welcomes all cyclists—from casual weekend bike riders, to veteran cyclists and everyone in-between. Choose from road routes of 11, 20, 32, 50, 62, 75, or 100 miles, or gravel routes of 60 or 80 miles. All routes include at least one rest stop with refreshments and snacks to refuel, restrooms, maps, and enthusiastic volunteers ready to cheer you on to the finish line. Support and Gear (SAG) drivers will also be available to provide rider assistance throughout the day.

Pedal through farmland with spectacular views on shorter routes, or through picturesque villages and historic iron furnaces—which give the French Creek Iron Tour its name—on the longer routes. See the landscape decorated with Preserved Forever signs, indicating land that is permanently preserved through a French & Pickering conservation easement.

All routes start and finish at the Kimberton Fire Company Fairgrounds in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Cyclists and volunteers are invited to gather here for a complimentary lunch of sandwiches from Wawa, salads and sides from Foresta’s Market, chips from Herr’s, fruit from Sopema Trading LLC, and pours from Bald Birds Brewing Company. After grabbing your food and drink, enjoy the company of old and new friends while listening to live music from the Sin Brothers and Dave Loves Donna.

“For every mile you pedal, imagine one square mile (640 acres) of open space preserved for generations. With your help, French & Pickering has safeguarded more than 13,700 acres—over 20 square miles—and we are currently working on 16 projects that total another 570 acres,” said Bill Gladden, Executive Director. “Riding the Iron Tour means riding for the future of northern Chester County. Will you go the extra mile to conserve this countryside?”

Early Bird registration is now open through Thursday, April 30. Register to ride for $65 and receive a commemorative Iron Tour t-shirt. Registration prices increase to $75 on Friday, May 1 and to $80 on Friday, June 5. Registration closes on Friday, June 12 at 5pm.

Proceeds directly support French & Pickering’s mission to preserve, steward and connect people to the land in northern Chester County.
