PHOENIXVILLE: May 25th A recent Economic Impact Study by Tripp Umbach, a Pittsburgh-based research company, has shown that the Schuylkill River National Heritage Area generates a $589.9 million economic impact, as well as contributing to over six thousand jobs, and providing $37.7 million in tax revenue. The Chester County OIC, Phoenixville Social Concerns Committee and the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation is excited to be facilitating the Phoenixville Youth Initiative (PYI), an eight-week summer employment program designed to help low-income, at-risk youth ages fourteen through nineteen in the Phoenixville area. The mission of PYI is to reduce risky behaviors of young adults in the Phoenixville area by fostering collaboration among residents, local businesses, non-profit organizations, and the school district. Phoenixville, PA — The Borough of Phoenixville has announced Monday that the 100 Block of Bridge Street between Main and Starr Streets will be Milled and Paved on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 and Thursday, May 26, 2016.
