June 13, 2017 – Phoenixville, PA At the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce meeting held at University of Valley Forge, Commissioners Kathi Cozzone and Michelle Kichline presented “State of the County of Chester” Talking Points at the monthly meeting. The Washington Memorial Chapel, one of Valley Forge’s most-recognizable structures, was added to the National Historic Register by the United States Department of the Interior Described by President Woodrow Wilson as “The Shrine of the American People”, the Washington Memorial Chapel was erected between 1903 and 1917 as a memorial to the leadership and character of George Washington. Phoenixville: The Greater Phoenixville Healthcare Scholarship Program, funded by the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation in partnership with the Phoenixville Hospital and the Phoenixville Hospital Medical Staff, has been providing college scholarships since 1995. Since the beginning, 120 scholarships have been awarded to high school graduates pursuing health-related careers. All scholarships are $8,000 payable over four years.
