PHOENIXVILLE On Wednesday, March 30th, the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce gathered together some of the community’s leading lights to celebrate the winners of the various Chamber annual awards, including Outstanding Citizen. West Pothouse Road will be closed and detoured between Route 29 and Meadowbrook Lane from April 15, 2016 to May 16, 2016. During the proposed road work, West Pothouse Road through traffic will be detoured onto Route 29, Route 23 and West Bridge Street. PHOENIXVILLE After leading the University of Valley Forge for over 19 years, President Don Meyer and his wife Evie have announced their retirement. Dr. Meyer’s original written announcement regarding a retirement date effective July 1, 2017, to the Board of Trustees on Wednesday, April 6, became an announcement on Thursday, April 7, to faculty and staff and then to students on Friday, April 8, that Dr. Meyer and Evie will be retiring effective July 1, 2016.
